How much HP does Stage 1 add to a BMW 320d?
Stage 1 adds approximately 40–50hp to a BMW 320d depending on the engine variant. The N47D20 (177hp) typically reaches 220hp, while the B47D20 (190hp) reaches 235–240hp.
Is Stage 1 safe for the BMW N47 engine?
Yes. Our Stage 1 calibration stays within the mechanical limits of the N47 internals, turbo, and fuel system. The power level is similar to what BMW delivers in the 325d from factory using the same hardware.
Will BMW 320d tuning void my warranty?
ECU tuning can be detected by the dealer if they check the software version. Whether it voids warranty depends on your local consumer protection laws and the dealer. The remap can be reverted to stock at any time.
What about the N47 timing chain issue?
The N47 timing chain wear issue is a known design flaw (rear-mounted chain) unrelated to tuning. If your chain is worn, fix it before tuning. Our remap does not increase chain stress — it modifies fuel and boost parameters only.
Can I tune my BMW 320d myself?
