EGR Off Software Service — Professional EGR Delete Files
Software EGR removal disables Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve operation, eliminates EGR-related fault codes, and prevents carbon buildup in intake manifolds and EGR coolers. Our modification keeps the valve permanently closed via ECU calibration.
What EGR Off Does
- ✅ Disables EGR valve opening commands from ECU
- ✅ Eliminates EGR-related fault codes and limp mode
- ✅ Prevents carbon and soot buildup in intake manifold
- ✅ Reduces exhaust gas recirculation into fresh air charge
- ✅ Lowers combustion chamber temperatures in heavy load
- ✅ Complements DPF delete for complete emissions solution
Why Delete the EGR?
The EGR valve recirculates hot exhaust gas back into the intake manifold to reduce NOx emissions. While effective for emissions compliance, this introduces several long-term problems:
- Carbon buildup — soot and oil vapor combine in the intake, coating the manifold, valves, and EGR cooler with thick carbon deposits
- Reduced airflow — blocked intake passages restrict fresh air, reducing power and increasing fuel consumption
- EGR valve failure — carbon deposits cause the valve to stick open or closed, triggering fault codes and limp mode
- EGR cooler leaks — thermal cycling and corrosion can crack EGR coolers, allowing coolant into the exhaust or intake
- Swirl flap damage — on some engines (BMW M47/M57), carbon causes swirl flaps to break off into cylinders

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does EGR off cost?
EGR off file costs €30 as a standalone service, or is included in our €69 Stage 1 + DPF + EGR complete bundle.
Do I need to physically remove or blank the EGR valve?
With a software EGR off, the ECU no longer commands the valve to open. You can optionally fit a blanking plate or remove the valve, but it is not required — the software keeps it permanently closed.
Will EGR off cause engine light?
No. Our modification disables both the EGR valve operation and its monitoring. All related DTCs are removed from the ECU calibration, so no warning lights will appear.
Can I combine EGR off with DPF delete?
Yes — this is our most popular combination. EGR off and DPF delete together prevent all soot-related issues. Our €69 bundle includes both plus a Stage 1 power remap.
Is EGR off safe for the engine?
EGR off is completely safe. Removing exhaust gas from the intake actually reduces carbon buildup and can slightly improve combustion efficiency. Many engines run cleaner and smoother with EGR disabled.
